1000 Stitch Belt-0091
This is an above average quality, silk 1000 Stitch Belt. It measures approximately 7.00″ high X 46.00 long, not including the tie strings. The material has age toned and there are a few light stains across the front and rear. The silk material is see-through from the front. The first thing you notice are the very large and impressive, black inked kanji characters for Buun Chokyu or “May Your Military Fortunes Be Long Lasting”, in the center. This popular slogan of World War Two is completely framed by 1000 beautiful red knots of compounded protection; meant to protect the wearer from harm in battle. To the left of that are the characters that give the title and name of the former owner, Naval Medical Captain, Katayama Tateyuki.
This wonderful senninbari belt is a cut above, quite colorful and named to a Japanese Naval Officer.
