1000 Stitch Belt-Florida Estate Find. Salty with Battle Stains. “SOLD”

1000 Stitch Belt made from silk with inner knotted/Senninbari panel.  The belt measures approximately 6.25″ high X 34.” long, not including cotton tie strings.  The inner panel is stitched in the shape of the characters Ki Buun Chokyu or “I Pray Your Military Fortunes Are Long Lasting”.  There are 4 black kanji characters on the left hand side, in the inner layer of material, however, I cannot read them.  Overall, this senninbari is in very good condition, although it does appear to be battle stained on both sides.

This was a Florida acquired item and definitely there.  Sorry, I have no other information on the veteran’s history.
