Good Luck Belt-0001

This cotton good luck belt is approximately 5.00″ High X 51.50″ Long, not including the tie strings. The front of the belt has alternating white and gold stylized chrysanthemum-type flowers running horizontally from left to right. The reverse of the belt is white with 3 separate rows of black kanji characters evident. There does not appear to be an added one-thousand stitch panel present in between the layers of cloth either, thus making this haramaki a belt for good luck/health. (For a discussion of Good Luck Belts see the book, Imperial Japanese Good Luck Flags and One-Thousand Stitch Belts, pp. 251-252.)
