Imperial Japanese Good Luck Signed Flag-0070 "SOLD"
Wow!!! Talk about a great Good Luck Flag with a bold slogan! This Japanese silk signed flag has one of the largest slogans written across its top that I have seen! Written in huge kanji characters is the motto, Buun Chokyu or “May Your Military Fortunes Be Long Lasting.” Along with the many names signed around the white field, is the slogan, Hissho or “Certain Victory!”, located near the 6 o’clock position. Also prominently stamped, just to the left of the 12 o’clock position are the red seals for the Hakusan Shrine and the Kotohira Shrine, both located in Tokyo. The seal on the right measures approximately 2.00″ square, while the one on the left measures about 1.25″ inches. Overall, the flag itself measures approximately 27.75″ high X 39.50″ long. The bright red, sun in the center is nicely silk screened onto the age-toned, white field. Both fly and hoist side edges have been re-enforced with a stitched border. The white paper corner tab on the upper right-hand side of the flag is firmly stitched in place, while the lower right tab is completely gone. There are no tie strings in either corner.
