Imperial Japanese Good Luck Signed Flag-0071
This heavily signed Imperial Japanese Good Luck Flag measures approximately 29.00″ high X 29.50″ long. The red sun has been screened onto the white field. Dampness, probably from storage over the years, caused some of the red ink in the sun’s center to shade some of the white field. Large paper tabs are sewn into place on both corners and the long, dark purple or black tie strings are present. Both the hoist and fly side edges have been re-enforced with extra stitches to give this area of the flag support. Prominently written across the top of the flag are the large characters for Ki Buun Chokyu or “I Pray Your Military Fortunes Are Long Lasting”. The flag has been presented to, “Mr. Kurata Kenzo.” There are many, many signatures from well-wishers on this colorful flag.
