Japanese National Flag-0007
This slightly salty cotton Japanese National Flag is the size most typically known as a “rifle flag” measuring approximately 10.25″ high X 13.5″ long. Smaller flags like this, as well as larger good luck flags were frequently owned by soldiers and were often tied to their rifle slings and bayonet lugs. This example has its tie strings in place in both corners. Three of the flag’s edges have been re-enforced by added stitching. There are obvious stains located at the 2-8 and 10 o’clock positions. Overall a nice flag for display in a frame or hanging from your Arisaka!
