1000 Stitch Belt-0069
This Senninbari is made from a white cotton material, and displays interrupted flat stitches that were prized by Japanese military personnel for their comfort while being worn. The stitches were made using red and yellow-gold cotton thread. Overall, the belt measures approximately 6.00″ High X 42.00″ Long, not including tie strings. There appears to be 5 very faded stamps on the center-front of the belt: 4 red and 1 black. Ink from the black character stamp has leaked through on to some of the cotton material (see images). The black vertical lines of characters say, Buun Chokyu Omamori or, “Protectant For Everlasting Battle Fortunes!” This is a nice senninbari with quite a few stand-out hanko or stamps.
