This wartime Sake Cup comes as a commemorative, probably from the Russo-Japanese War era. The cup is made from heavy metal and is plated in an antique gold finish. It measures approximately 3.00″ across. The very center has a cherry blossom flower (with some surface corrosion), surrounded on one side by Japanese battle flags and early Japanese “squiggle” and anchor flags on the other. Chrysanthemum flowers trail down either side. The cup’s interior and exterior are engraved with numerous kanji characters and there is some discoloration. This is another beautiful, metal cup.
